Clinic exam room
Our St. Louis surgery center has several private exam rooms. In these exam rooms, you will meet with our physicians and medical staff to discuss your pain and symptoms, as well as to complete a physical examination prior to surgery. You will meet in the exam rooms for any preoperative and postoperative medical exams.
MRI imaging suite
For our surgeons to provide you with the most accurate diagnosis of your condition, they will need MRI — or magnetic resonance imaging — film to give them a clearer view of your spine and what is causing your symptoms. If your MRI was completed more than six months prior to your visit, you may be required to undergo a new MRI test. For your convenience, we have an MRI imaging suite at our facility to help streamline your Patient Experience.
Spinal diagnostic center
For patients who are experiencing pain, numbness and weakness in multiple areas, our Spinal Diagnostic Center will provide the additional evaluations needed to pinpoint the location of the spine condition and ensure our surgeons are properly placing the small, 1-inch incision along your spine during the surgery.
When you arrive at our preoperative area on the day of your surgery, you will meet with your surgeon and anesthesiologist. During this time, you will have a chance to review your upcoming procedure and ask questions about what to expect.
Laser Spine Institute’s St. Louis surgery center remains at the forefront of patient care by investing in the latest technological advancements and surgical equipment. Our surgical suites have high-definition cameras and video monitors which provide our surgeons with precise views of each surgical site. Our commitment to medical advancement is what makes Laser Spine Institute the leader in minimally invasive surgery.
Take a moment to relax with your family or Care Partner in between appointments by enjoying refreshments at our patient café. We encourage you to take a breath and watch some television or surf the Internet with our free Wi-Fi.
After your surgical procedure, you will be transferred to our postoperative recovery area where our skilled medical professionals will closely monitor your vitals and ensure your comfort while you recover. Before you are cleared to leave the facility, one of our nurses will explain to you and your Care Partner the guidelines for your recovery. If you have any questions about recovery, contact our SPINE LINE.
