Clinic exam room
Our St. Louis surgery center has several private exam rooms where you will meet with our physicians and medical staff to discuss your symptoms, as well as to complete a physical examination prior to surgery. You will also meet in these rooms for any other preoperative and postoperative consultations or exams.
MRI imaging suite
For our surgeons to provide an accurate diagnosis of your condition, they will need a recent MRI — or magnetic resonance imaging — to give them a clear view of your spine and what is causing your symptoms. If your MRI was completed more than six months prior to your visit, a new test may be required. For your convenience, we have an MRI imaging suite at our facility to help streamline your patient experience.
Spinal diagnostic center
If you are experiencing pain, numbness and weakness in multiple areas, our spinal diagnostic center will provide any additional evaluations needed to pinpoint the precise location of your condition to ensure our surgeons know exactly where to make the small, 1-inch incision during your procedure.
When you arrive at the preoperative area on the day of your surgery, you’ll meet with your surgeon and anesthesiologist. During this time, you will have a chance to review your upcoming procedure and ask questions about what to expect.
Laser Spine Institute’s St. Louis surgery center remains at the forefront of patient care by investing in the latest technological advancements and surgical equipment. Our surgical suites have high-definition cameras and video monitors which provide our surgeons with detailed views of each surgical site. Our commitment to medical advancement is one of the reasons why Laser Spine Institute is the leader in minimally invasive surgery.
At our cozy patient café, you’ll be able relax with your family or care partner in between appointments. Enjoy refreshments, watch some television, surf the internet with our free Wi-Fi or play one of the available board games. There’s also a reflection room next door where you can spend some quiet time in thought, prayer or meditation. It’s the perfect place to nurture a little inner peace.
After your surgical procedure, you will be transferred to our postoperative recovery area where our skilled medical professionals will closely monitor your vitals and ensure your comfort while you recover. Before you are cleared to leave the facility, one of our nurses will explain to you and your care partner the guidelines for your recovery.
