Vice President of Operational Excellence
A deep desire to serve others is what led Dustin Hicks to Laser Spine Institute. But watching those he loved struggle with pain made Dustin realize he had the ability to create real change. Both of his grandparents suffered with age-related medical issues, and Dustin saw their frustration as they tried to navigate through health care provider and insurance difficulties. That’s when Dustin vowed to make it easier for others to gain access to a system of care where quality and compassion go hand in hand.
As Laser Spine Institute’s Vice President of Operational Excellence, Dustin assists other Executive Team members with planning, developing and implementing the strategic roadmaps our Marketing, Medical Operations, Revenue Management and Patient Empowerment teams use to deliver exceptional patient satisfaction. His servant style of leadership allows Dustin to put himself in a patient’s shoes, consider what obstacles they may be facing and provide counsel to leadership to ensure the patient’s experience here is seamless.
Prior to joining Laser Spine Institute in a full-time capacity, Dustin brought his expertise in operational excellence to the organization as a consultant, assisting our leaders in the achievement of enterprise-wide goals while increasing efficiencies. He also served in senior leadership roles at a variety of well-known technology and global search organizations, including Randstad, Tribridge and Kforce, Inc.
Dustin earned his Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Florida and his bachelor’s degree in Psychology from West Virginia University.
When not assisting other executive team members deliver exceptional care to our patients and teammates, Dustin enjoys traveling with his wife and daughter, taking walks with his three dogs and learning something new any chance he gets.
