Amanda Ditch, MBA, ACHE
Executive Director, Laser Spine Institute St. Louis
After spending more than two decades working in eye care, Amanda Ditch has a clear vision of what it takes to help patients and teammates thrive. And she says it begins with a willingness to become part of the solution. Her management style isn’t typical in that it mirrors a relationship that looks more like a partnership. In fact, most days you can find Amanda working alongside, not over, her team.
As the Executive Director for Laser Spine Institute St. Louis, Amanda leads and directs the day-to-day clinical and business operations that ensure our patients experience the highest level of compassionate care.
Prior to joining Laser Spine Institute, Amanda spent almost her entire career at Clarkson Eyecare in St. Louis, MO. While there, she served in numerous roles including, General Manager, Operations Manager, Vice President of Operations and Chief Operating Officer.
Amanda earned her Master of Business Administration, emphasizing in healthcare administration from the Keller Graduate School of Management. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in biology from the University of Missouri and is currently working towards an advanced executive management certificate from Washington University in St. Louis. Amanda is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, is currently working on completion of the Six Sigma green belt, and is studying for her Certified Professional Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) certification.
When asked what color best describes her outlook on life, Amanda’s answer is green, because, she says, “it means go!” And that’s just what she does when she’s not helping our patients or teammates accomplish their goals, or when she’s helping her children with the guidance and tools needed to succeed.
Amanda has four children, and is most grateful spending time with one or all of them, particularly while on a family vacation anywhere in the Caribbean. On any given weekend you can find Amanda at a kid’s soccer game, hiking on a trail with her two dogs, and spending time at the pottery studio she co-owns with two other members of her family.
