Sciatic nerve treatments vary widely depending on a patient's diagnosis and other variables. In the early stages of sciatica?- the term used to describe the pain caused by compression of the sciatic nerve?- treatments are generally non-invasive.

Doctors often prescribe physical therapy or spinal decompression to take pressure off the sciatic nerve?- pressure that may be caused by a herniated disc, foraminal stenosis, or another condition.
