Back and Neck Pain Relief Center

At a back and neck pain relief center, the discomfort of spine pain can be approached in a variety of ways. Pain relief can be accomplished conservatively, through traditional surgery, or through modern endoscopic techniques. However, you should make sure that your doctor has confirmed a diagnosis so that you can choose a medical facility that is right for your needs.
You may want to do some research about potential pain relief centers. First, ask family and friends if they’ve ever been treated at any of those facilities. Did they feel comfortable there? Was their treatment effective? Did they find back or neck pain relief? Next, look into the medical professionals that are employed at that pain relief center. How experienced are they? What certifications do they have? You may also want to do some of your own research on the internet to see if there are patient reviews of that medical facility, or if it has been reviewed by reputable associations like the American Medical Association.
You should also make sure that the medical facility you choose is specialized in treating your particular spine condition. If you suffer from herniated disc, bulging disc, degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis or osteoarthritis, make sure that clinic or surgical facility has extensive experience with these conditions.
The different types of specialties that a spine center may offer include:
- Conservative treatment – prescription or over-the-counter medication, physical therapy, exercise, rest, behavior modification, epidural injection, therapeutic massage, chiropractic therapy
- Traditional surgical treatment – spinal fusion, intervertebral disc replacement, laminectomy, vertebral body replacement
- Endoscopic treatment at Laser Spine Institute (LSI) – foraminotomy, laminotomy, percutaneous endoscopic discectomy, facet thermal ablation

Ordinarily, surgery becomes an option only when debilitating pain persists after weeks or months of conservative treatment. Traditional surgery often involves a long hospital stay and lengthy recuperation. The surgeons at LSI are waiting to tell you more about our minimally invasive procedures that are performed on an outpatient basis. Contact LSI to learn more about our world-renowned back and neck pain relief center, or for a free review of your MRI or CT scan.
Please note: Laser Spine Institute currently does not perform endoscopic procedures on the thoracic spine.
