• The staff – it may seem obvious, but make sure that the doctor who will perform your procedure is credentialed, respected and experienced. You want to ensure that you are receiving the best possible treatment, not an outdated procedure from doctors who have become out of touch.
• The search – do your homework. A nice facility or a charming doctor may seem great on the surface, but do a little research into the practice to make sure there isn’t more than meets the eye. While you don’t want to base your decision entirely on one patient review, if you see a trend of happy people voicing their opinions online, you might want to take that as a positive sign. Also, ask your family, friends and physician. You may be surprised how word travels and someone might have some insight into the spine medical center you’re considering or recommend another one you hadn’t looked at yet.
