Vernon Morris, M.D., is a senior member of the surgical team at Laser Spine Institute. Like the entire staff at Laser Spine Institute, Dr. Morris combines a deep commitment to patient care with an illustrious background of training and research in the field of orthopedics. Double board certified in orthopedic surgery and pain management, he is one of the many reasons that Laser Spine Institute has become the foremost spine surgery center in the world, performing more minimally invasive, endoscopic neck and back procedures than any other facility of its kind.
Dr. Morris is originally from the suburbs of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, which is where he embarked on his pre-medical education at Pennsylvania State University. He went on to attend Temple University School of Medicine, where he received his medical degree in 1974. Dr. Morris furthered his intensive orthopedic training by interning at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He then spent the next four years of his residency circulating between the world-renowned medical centers of Temple University Hospital, Abington Memorial Hospital, and Shriners Hospital in Philadelphia. Following this rigorous immersion in orthopedic specialties, Dr. Morris chose to develop his own private practice in the Philadelphia area. An innovative surgeon, both then and now, Dr. Morris is proud to have been one of the first surgeons to perform minimally invasive spine surgery in the 1980s, one of many achievements that garnered him the AMA Award for Physician Recognition in 1984, 1987, 1990, and 1993.
Dr. Morris’ additional achievements include:
Dr. Morris joined the highly acclaimed team of surgeons, physicians, anesthesiologists, and other medical professionals at Laser Spine Institute in 2007. For more information about Dr. Morris and Laser Spine Institute, please contact us and receive a free MRI or CT scan review.
